The Municipality of Chalkida provides support for the homeless ahead of high temperatures

A 4-member Committee was appointed, following a decision by the Mayor of Chalkida, Elena Vaka. The committee will coordinate all necessary actions to ensure the safety of people living on the streets and will provide its services throughout the period of high temperatures.

Specifically:
Chalkida Municipality building near the Nursing Home (former DOPPAX) will be open today, Tuesday, July 8, and tomorrow, Wednesday, July 9, until 21:00 in the evening, in order to serve homeless individuals.
The 4-member Committee will go out into the streets to identify homeless people, offering them bottles of cool water and at the same time informing them about the above facility so that, if they wish, they can be transferred there.
